He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ege University, Prof. Sezgin has conducted studies on tumor cell lines and published more than 100 articles and papers in international and national journals. He writes about various topics, particularly breast cancer. He is also trained in philotherapy and three-step hypnosis. Prof. Sezgin’s books include“Herbs That Can Help Fight Cancer” and “There is a Solution for Cancer” in collaboration with 13 experts in that field in Turkey.

Another book, “Complete Healing,” was published in 2016. It addresses diet, lifestyle, food supplements, herbal treatments, and the medical treatment of 175 diseases. He worked as an editor of the Complementary Therapies in Oncology Support journal’s special issue and held positions with the Turkish Academy of Sciences, the National Cancer Policy’s workshop on Traditional and Complementary Medicine, the Turkish Medicine World Congress, and the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Working Group. He also served on the Scientific Advisory Board for Traditional Medicine and Complementary Practices for the Republic of Turkey’s Ministry of Health.

Merged with above Prof. Sezgin pioneered the establishment of the Medical Oncology Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul Biruni University. In 2014 he and volunteers from the district of Izmir Göztepe co-founded the Support Association for Studying Children of Families Fighting Cancer (KANSEDER), of which he serves as president. Specializing in internal medicine and medical oncology, he has worked at his Istanbul clinic since March, 2015. He is married and has one son.
