Judith Malka Liberman, born in 1978 in a Paris commune where days ended with fairy tales over the campfire, joined her first storytelling workshop at age 14.
She studied professional storytelling with Gilles Bizouerne at the Paris Conservatory, oral expression at the Conservatory of Contemporary Oral Literature (CLIO) in Vendome, and theater at Pomona College in California. She is also the co-founder of two theater companies in Paris. In addition to telling stories on stage, in bookstores, and at schools, libraries, parks, and galleries, she also participates in a variety of international festivals.
Liberman is a key force in the revival of storytelling in Turkey. In collaboration with universities and UNESCO, she regularly tells tales, organizes storytelling nights, and provides training in Istanbul. She was advisor for the screenplay of the film “Once Upon a Time” and wrote the book “Masal Terapi” (Story Therap). In addition, she presented the NTV television program “Masal Bu Ya.”
