Dr. Mutluhan İzmir was born in 1961 in Elazığ and graduated from Ankara Science High School in 1979. He received his M.D. from Hacettepe University in 1985 before training as a specialist in psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of Ankara University in 1996. He currently provides psychotherapy and other psychiatric services at his clinic in the same city.

Dr. İzmir is the author of the books “The Dialect of Self (Hegel, Sartre and Lacan),” “The Antidepressant Trap,” “Lacanian Psychoanalysis and Character Analysis,” and “Don’t Medicate Misbehaving Children.”
