Sinem Olcay Kademoğlu graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Psychology in 2003. She attended part of her undergraduate courses at the State University of New York at Binghamton. During her studies in the U.S., she started to study early child development, parental behavior and family psychology. She received a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Koç University. She conducted her thesis studies on the relationship between parental practices and mental development of children in Ruhr Universitat Bochum in Bochum, Germany. She worked as a research and teaching assistant during her master’s studies. Then she went to the United States and United Kingdom as an observer to study the practices of early parental training programs, and adapted research- based programs with proven effectiveness to Turkey. In 2007, she founded Istanbul Parenting Class to introduce her programs to families.
