Ufuk Tarhan received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the Middle East Technical University. As the first female futurist in the country, she is the only Turk in the world’s top 100 female futurists. Tarhan is the designer and curator of “Future Day.” She is also the author of the books “Your Future Dream” and “T-Human.”
She served as executive at leading IT firms between 1982 and 2005. Tarhan is also the first to coin the term “yazıcı,” the Turkish word for printer. She received “The Most Successful Business Woman in the ICT Industry” award from Dünya, a Turkish daily, in 2002. An enthusiastic entrepreneur, Tarhan established the M-GEN Future Planning Center in 2006 and added a Digital Agency to it in 2011 to offer digital and social media services. Tarhan served as the President of the Turkish Futurists Association from 2009 to 2012, and sits on its High Advisory Board, as well as a board member of the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGİDER). She remains Turkey’s first female futurist speaker. Tarhan is currently enrolled in a master’s degree in innovation and entrepreneurship at Bahçeşehir University and is working on her thesis.
