Burcu Arıkan started her career in the digital communication sector after graduating from Istanbul University with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and from the University of Texas Austin with a Master’s Degree. In May 2017, Arıkan participated in the Permaculture Design Course (PDC), and completed a one-month “Desert Greening” internship organized by Geogg Lawton in Jordan in September 2007. Since 2016, she has been working on how healthy, additive-free, natural food can be made accessible and produced in city. For this purpose, she implements various projects, and has been delivering Courses on Introduction to Permaculture with a team of 3 people since December 2017.
She has been continuing to work for good food production in city by participating in the Plant, Harvest, and Consume Team in 2018.
Aycan Tüylüoğlu, the General Coordinator of the the Plant, Harvest, and Consume Team, received a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Biology from Istanbul University, a Diploma from the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH & LA) in 2005, and a Permaculture Design Certificate in 2017. Tüylüoğlu worked in different fields as part of santralistanbul between 2006 and 2010, and managed her own businesses in the food-and-beverage sector before joining the Plant, Harvest, and Consume Team.
