Ayşe Bombacı received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Istanbul University in 2001.

She decided to continue her career education in Germany and received her master’s degree at Heidelberg University. Earning her master’s, she specialized in two different subjects, Clinical Psychology and Developmental Psychology. She received a science research grant from the state of Germany and completed her doctorate at Heidelberg University with high honors in 2014. Between 2005 and 2011, she worked as a specialist psychologist at the Mother and Child Department, founded at the Heidelberg University Psychiatry Clinic for treatment of pre- and post-natal psychological disorders.

She completed her Individual, Couples and Family Therapy Consultancy Training at the iconic Heidelberg institutions IGST and MAGST. As of 2015, she has continued to work as psychotherapist and trainer at the Behavioral Sciences Institution.
